Emily Hoffman

Instructor

Emily started dancing at the age of six. She trained and competed in all genres of dance at many different studios including Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, CA and Elevations Dance Studio in Long Beach, CA. During this time, she also signed with DDO dance agency (now called MTA) and BMG’s commercial/theatrical talent division. She went on to book many jobs from music videos, short films, voice overs, and commercials, including Old Navy and Living Spaces. She also filmed 2 releases of Ubisoft's Just Dance Kids. In 2012, Emily wasselected to be in Sarah Jaffe’s music video “Glorified High” where MTV called her the “Dopest dancing 11 year old ever.” She also was featured in the article “Top 10 Breakin’ Girls” in DanceSpirit Magazine. On top of this, Emily became one of The Pulse On Tour’s ‘Protégé’ and traveled the nation with some of the top choreographers in Hip Hop. In 2011, she became the International Ambassador for Lululemon’s new dancewear line, Ivivva Athletica. Emily was also featured as a solo dancer during one of Disney's Next Big Thing concerts. She danced on many hip hop crews including Trouble Makers and Kaba Kids. Emily graduated from Orange County School of the Arts in 2018 and trained in both the Commercial Dance and Acting conservatories. She then graduated in 2022 from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelors in Science, Kinesiology. After assisting hip hop choreographer Mikey Trasoras for many years in both classes and dance conventions, she also began working with solos and traveling all over alongside Mikey as his dance assistant. Emily began teaching for dance studios and high school dance teams where her choreography has won championship titles and placed highly in many competitions. Emily’s passion is to now pass on her knowledge of dance to young dancers and see them thrive.
